I've revamped the V-Chat archive a bit, focusing primarily on some visual improvements as well as adding some new content. We've found BugWorld and Practice Area, all thanks to the efforts of my fellow V-Chat fanatics Phil and Benjamin! Links to their V-Chat projects can of course be found at the top of the archive. I'm hoping to add links to the world.adf files for every room, so that you can use my archive to download V-Chat worlds directly from within the program. I also hope to document all the user-made rooms as well - I don't think I should give all of them a separate room, but a showcase of some screenshots here and there is surely warranted. Rooms with completely new and unique geometry, of course, will get their own page.
I've added a page for another old chat client, Commue3D, to the archive, and I've separated Chat Clients & Games into their own categories. Feels appropriate, considering how many chat clients I'm planning on documenting in the near future.
The V-Chat archive is also going to see a lot of changes very soon, because a lot of cool stuff has been unearthed recently. Stay tuned!
Oh, and I also fixed the Contact form that's been broken due to a PHP update about a week ago but forgot to mention it here. Oops!
The Worlds Chat Japan archive is pretty much done! I intend to add a few more details about some of the user-created addon utilities like "K's Pail", but all the important stuff is there.
Next, I want to finish prettying up the website - It's been in a "sketch" stage for like 3 years!! Let's make it look nice and function better on mobiles, all the way! Then I can worry about all this other stuff I wanna add.
I'm also adding a Links page to places that interest me, from archival resources to essays that put my thoughts into words better than I can. Keep an eye on it, I'm going to be adding to it a lot.
We now have a page about the obscure (at least to the West) Japanese variants of Worlds Chat available!
So far only the primary executable and Cyber Oz City are documented, but more will be coming very soon!
JULY 1 MINI-UPDATE: Added a bunch of information on the other variants of Worlds Chat Japan... but we're not done yet! Stay tuned for more!
A MASSIVE update to the website, all things considered - The front page's layout has been made to not completely fall apart on certain browsers/devices, the Archive and Thoughts pages have been completely revamped and are now looking just as Geocities as I've always wanted them to, along with a lot of little aesthetic tweaks across the website & behind the scenes.
Also, new archives available! Some are works in progress, and some are incredibly niche interests...
But that's what you come to Timigi.com for!
We've got a Music page, baby!! There's finally a nice and unified place for me to share my musical stylings, from my mediocre and frankly painful old work to my probably-still-mediocre but much more pleasant modern stuff!
Also, since writing is something I don't really do much of (yet), I've removed the button for the Writing section until I have something to actually put up there. Most of the writing I do actually do is usually Essay-related, anyway, and there's a section for that in Stuff already.
It's been a while, huh? Between moving out into my own apartment, getting my life back together from scratch, and Covid-19, I've been busy to say the least - but I'm finally back to work on my own projects a little more.
A new link has been added to the Microsoft V-Chat archive that leads you to Flatplaces.net, a place where you can explore V-Chat Worlds from the comfort of your own browser. Shoutouts to Phil for setting this up!
I have also finally completely revamped the Paradigm Worlds archive! Not only is it MUCH nicer to navigate, it is also in line with all the changes and additions made to the game in the latest update, "We The Creatures!"
In the coming time I'll also focus on adding to various pages around the website, from lots of small changes not worth making a big news post about to big new archives and essays and more.
A significant update to the V-Chat archive that I'm very, very proud to be hosting has been added.
An infinite amount of thanks and credits to Phil Richards for all the help! I couldn't have done it without you.
Finally, finally began working on rudimentary galleries for my art (the whole reason I made this website in the first place)! They can be found under Everything Else in the Art section.
The beginnings of dedicated pages for Commitia and Mockus Midgard, the worlds my characters inhabit, are also up in the Art section. Ideally, this will be where you can access the related comics if and when I get back to work on those.
Canon art related to these universes will appear in their own galleries under their respective universe's page.
I've also done some minor touch-ups on various pages around the website, but nothing major or noteworthy.
I've added a V-Chat download link & a link for the V-Chat world "The Lodge". Links for everything else, along with descriptions of each world, will be added within the next few days.
Also, there is now a table for Character Bios in the Works/Art/Everything Else page. So far there's only one character listed, but this list will grow very soon!
OCTOBER 18 EDIT: I felt this didn't warrant a whole knew block on the news page, but I finished the pages for the first 6 V-Chat worlds listed on the V-Chat Archive, as well as the Homespace and Lobby pages.
Largely a bunch of significant behind-the-scenes streamlining the average visitor probably won't even notice all over the site. Little bits of layout changes on the Archive and Thoughts pages in preparation for actually having some content to put in there!
Will be doing a LOT of work on the Art page next, as well as finally adding download links and world descriptions to the V-Chat page.
Also added a Doom mod review to Thoughts - It's actually been on this site for as long as it's been up, but only now is it actually accessible through ordinary browsing. Oops!
Finally added an actual way into the site from the main Timigi.com page.
Every section of the site should now be functional, with the exception of Contact, which I'm hoping to have working by the end of today. There's also not much in the way of actual content, save for a little shrine I made to an ancient defunct chat program in the Stuff tab's Archive of Assorted Interests. Stay tuned for more!
After the Contact page is done, I'll see if I can get some kind of a rudimentary gallery system going that isn't too much of a hassle to scan through. I'll worry about prettying the site up and adding a splash of color once all that's sorted... Whenever that is.
The About page kinda sucks too, for now. I'm working on it, alright?
Today marks the very first inaugural in-progress launch of Timigi.com!
Everything's a huge unfinished mess and there's placeholder graphics everywhere, but the site is finally starting to take shape. The plans have been planned, the layout has been laid out... All that's left is the content!
about time i did something with it i mean i've only been paying for this domain for 2 years
