An steadily intensifying cover of the music from the "Weird" level of Full Attack, with an homage to the guitar solo from "Trash" in the middle. The music in this game was always cool to me as a kid, with every level playing a variation of the same song. As for my cover, I always thought I could do the drums better towards the end... Maybe I'll go back and touch it up some day.
I always thought this track could use a little more percussion... So I added it myself! And then I got to the piano part, and I got a little carried away... This track was always the coolest to me, because the piano section fades in on top of the synth beat as you approach the pianist in this level. I tried to replicate that a little bit here, myself.
Not many of the tracks in this obscure and quirky game are particularly catchy, most consisting largely of ambient noise... But I've never been able to get the jams this game does have out of my head since I was a kid. If I ever go back to touch this up, I'd definitely slow down the tempo of the opening and give it a much less abrupt ending...
Not exactly the nicest-sounding cover I've ever made (especially compared to what I can do today!), but it still has a place in my heart as the theme song to many a night spent playing Heroes Of The Storm as The Lost Vikings.
A Work-In-Progress that didn't get super far... It's mostly just a transcription of the original midi, done by ear. If I ever finished this, it'd be twice as long and twice as fancy. I definitely didn't put quite as much heart into this one as I did for this next track I made roughly a week earlier...
This right here is my favorite track on the Duke3D Soundtrack, so naturally I had to do it as much justice as possible. I'm very proud of how much I got it to fit the underwater vibe I was going for! I still don't consider it complete, though, and there's a lot about it I could adjust and improve... Still, it's a personal favorite all the same.
