Relying on firepower rather than speed, Imperial Frigates boast over one hundred turret mounted guns capable of destroying even the most heavily armored ships. The Imperial Navy is comprised of the finest officers in the Hegemony, who are high born and of noble stock. Upon completion of academic requirements, the family of the officer buys him his uniform and insignia of rank. He then goes to seek his fortune and defend the Collective's way of life.
