Magistrates

Keepers and enforcers of the Canon of Conduct, the Magistrates were given power by the Senate to investigate crime and administer justice as an independent branch of the Hegemony. Each Magistrate is granted a jurisdiction by the Grand Council of Judges, and permitted to dispense justice in whatever manner is expedient. Many Magistrates become entrepreneurial, accepting bounties for the capture of Enemies of the Collective. In recent years, however, the Magistrates have had to focus much of their energy on the Digitals.
